About Andrew

“...[Andrew] Munz has become the definitive comedic voice of Jackson Hole.”

-- Jackson Hole News & Guide

Andrew Munz is a writer and comedian raised in Jackson, Wyoming. After graduating from Jackson Hole High School, he studied comedy in Chicago at The Second City, iO Theatre and the Annoyance Theater before returning to Jackson. He is a former Wyoming Arts Council Performing Arts Fellow (2021), winner of fourteen Best of Jackson Hole awards, and received a "Best Actor" award at the Wyoming International Film Festival for his performance in the short film, "The Ballad of Jackson Hole" (2022), which he also wrote and directed.

Supported by a growing local fanbase, he is the only performer to sell-out the Center for the Arts, Mangy Moose and Pink Garter Theater. Having sold over twenty-thousand tickets locally, he is considered to be a staple of the local artist community and has a long history of supporting independent artists and artistic nonprofits in Jackson Hole.

In 2020, his book "I Can Ski Forever" was the #1 best-selling book in Jackson Wyoming for 2020, and contained the scripts for his blockbuster locally-produced theatrical series, which satirized life in a ski town. He is currently at work on a number of creative projects both locally and outside of the valley.

His drag persona Your Girl Catherine has dominated the local Instagram scene with a series of humorous videos that poke fun at wealthy cougars who make their homes in Jackson Hole. As a result, Catherine has also been thee recipient of the "Best Dressed" award in the Best of Jackson Hole community poll (2022).

In September 2023, Andrew will attend the Icelandic Film School in Reykjavík, Iceland having been accepted into a two-year program in screenwriting and directing.
